Oh, how you do go on.

For a while now, I’ve wanted to write a bit more. Not more often, but longer. I didn’t think it was a good fit for the blog. Generally, I like to keep it short and with as many pictures as possible. But this has become a comfortable forum, so I am going to use it to write a regular essay on home. The first Friday of the month, or there about, I am just going to write a little something longer. There might not be any pictures. I know, I know, I like the pictures, too and I don’t particularly enjoy reading a big gob of text on a computer screen, but this is my plan. If you just like to look at the pictures, I understand. Read it or skip it, I promise the next post will be filled with images to delight. But, I need to stretch my legs a bit; we’ll see how it works out.

  1. Courtney – just noticed it yesterday and had to use it. I’m really gravitating toward a bit of pink mixed in with the yellow.

  2. Your words speak volumes, they conjure up images of uniqueness. What drew me to you were your words.
Back to check out your images while you stretch your legs.
Love to have a bowl of soup in that room. Yellow and pink are always cheery!

  3. I love your writing! The images are always interesting yet I, as many others, anxiously await your latest finds. Lately I’ve noticed that we can click on an image and it bcomes full page which is so nice to see the details!

  4. can someone please give this girl a book deal???

we’re all so fortunate to have access to your great writing. i’m so glad that you’re testing the water with us. I think it will be a matter of time before you move on to a much bigger platform.

  5. Your blog is delightful, and I would love to hear your thoughts on home in an essay.

There is nothing I love more than blue and white porcelain jars holding pink flowers. There’s a vine that we have here in Floria called sweetheart or coral vine (though it’s actually hot pink in color), and I’ve mixed that with roses, stock, peonies, and assorted yard garbage for table arrangements. The vine doesn’t last long once cut, but it has a great look for a party table.

I also like pink mixed with yellow. This room proves how well that combo works. Thanks for sharing.
