Now

I received an email from Charlotte Moss today letting me know that her organization has made a generous contribution for aid in Haiti; she is encouraging the blog community to get on board. If we can’t donate ten thousand dollars we can donate something – and spread the word.

You can see Moss’s post on her site here. You can give directly to UNICEF here. Even easier, you can text 90999 with the word “Haiti” to donate ten dollars to the American Red Cross; the charge will appear on your phone bill. Right now. You’re sitting right there. It will hardly take a minute.

  1. Great of you to take a lead. Will do so on my blog ASAP. Tend to agree with Barbara to some extent, Doctors Without Borders is a more direct way to see your $$$$ go to work immediately, and medical assistance and supplies are so drastically needed NOW!

  2. Luckily, I live in Texas where generosity comes naturally. I am so proud of both our Presidents Bush & their continuing humanitarian efforts with President Clinton. Most of us have responded via their endeavors.
Thank you for this posting. Marsha

  3. Thanks for promoting and encouraging the support of Haiti. I have friends with young children there. They have been found, but like all others, food, water, shelter, medical care are critical.

  4. Thank you so much. I've been encouraging people to give as well. Our church supports missionaries in Haiti who are busily rescuing people and helping in the relief efforts. I have given to Compassion and to the fund set up at our church. I think it's so important for all of us to give SOMETHING, even if it's just a little! The devastation is unbelievable. Thank you for sharing!

  5. i did the text donation – i love how easy it was to give…and spread the word to my friends.
