Catching Up

It’s always a treat to see a new Suzanne Rheinstein project and there is a particularly lovely one in December’s Architectural Digest.  You may remember the beautiful mural in Rheinstein’s New York apartment painted by Bob Christian; he struts his stuff again here with great results.  That Rheinstein used a Pottery Barn sisal in this room confirms my impression that she is both charming and down-to-earth.  Knowing where to put the low in high-low is quite a knack.

  1. Nothing more exciting than a well done and beautiful hand painted mural. This one is both. I love it and the room. Great job. Richard from My Old Historic House.

I have been a very good patient and my hip replacement rehab is going very well!

  3. This could be, without a doubt, my dream house. I'm not crazy about the bed in the master, a bit too much for me, but other than that the colors, the textures, the overall ambience is perfection. I guess I'll be purchasing a copy of AD so that I can keep this for my dream book. Thanks for this beautiful post!

  4. Hi Patricia, This is a great room! The chintz makes me think of Sister Parish. Of course that chandelier is a keeper. Thanks. Mary

  5. You are so correct, Patricia!

You can tell by her decorating! She is the most darling woman; so so talented, generous and charming beyond!

She has all the charm of a true Southern lady!

I can't wait to see the new AD!
